Our days are getting longer, the sky is getting brighter and the sun is getting warmer – spring is finally here! And what better place to spend it than on the Côte d’Azur!
This April, the French Riviera will be bursting with colour, as it welcomes its very first ‘Jardins de la Côte d’Azur’, a vibrant garden and flower festival that is sure to get everyone excited for summer. Inspired by Paris’ ‘Jardin aux Tuileries’ event in June last year, the French Riviera will be showcasing some of the most wonderful gardens and flower displays through the entire month, with Antibes, Cannes, Grasse, Menton and Nice all expected to boast gorgeous spring and summer colours from 1st April until 1st May.
Organised by the Société des Gens de Jardins Méditerranéens, the event celebrates the beauty of the Côte d’Azure in the springtime sun and gives attendees the chance to see and buy a great variety of the Mediterranean plants, trees and flowers on display. If you fancy green fingers yourself, the festival also offers the opportunity to get involved with floral art workshops, new gardening techniques, food tasting and more!
For those lucky enough to be visiting the French Riviera in April, the temporary gardens of ‘Jardins de la Côte d’Azur’ will be on display in the following locations:
- Nice: Jardin Albert I, 2-16 avenue de Verdun, 06000 Nice (Promenade Paillon)
- Cannes: Garden of the Villa Rothschild, 1 avenue Jean de Noailles, 06400 Cannes
- Antibes: pinède Gould, boulevard Édouard Baudouin, 06600 Antibes (between the gardens of the pine forest and the square Franck Jay Gould)
- Menton: Biovès gardens, avenue de Verdun / avenue Boyer, 06500 Menton
